Great family time with my kids
My kids and I love this book. It’s easy and so much fun to use. I had to buy

two of them just for the chef hat that they love to wear everytime they cook. I aslo have

used this for kids birthday gifts and now we are setting “cooking play dates” with other

kids. It really is a joy to watch my kids enjoy cooking especially my son who always thought

girls were the only one who can cook in the house.

Filet Mignon with Peppercorn Sauce

This is one of those meals for a special occasion or even “date night” as I like to call it. It is a recreation of a dish that Ryan and I had in Italy. Remember when I shared my recipe for roasted rosemary potatoes and teased about melt in your mouth steaks? You know the one that you can cut with a butter knife? Yeah, this is one of them. Before we went to Italy everyone would say “Oh imagine all of the yummy pasta and pizza you are going to eat. But do you think you’ll get sick of it af

Popular And General Italian Food

When people think of popular Italian food they most likely think of spaghetti, lasagna, or tortellini. Kung Pao Chicken

A week before Ryan and I were planning to leave for Italy I was sitting down planning our menu and writing the grocery list. As I started to think of pasta dishes, where my mind always tends to go, I decided that it would probably be best if we stayed away from Italian inspired dishes and enjoy some of the flavors that we might miss while we’re away. So next my mind immediately went to Asian cuisine. I began thinking of various kinds of stir fries when I finally decided that Kung Pao Chicken

Keeping Kosher in Italy

… and when traveling in general. Since I am currently in Italy I am using it as a concrete example. If you are wealthy you can stay at kosher hotels and bed breakfast and eat at kosher restaurants . This is the easiest way but it can be expensive and is restrictive in some countries where such places are rare. This post is meant to help people staying in self-catering appartments. This perspective is based on my own understanding of kashrut and should be used as advice and guideli
